Anyone who followed Michael Jackson's trial will remember how weak and delicate he seemed, and last summer he was photographed being pushed around in a wheelchair. Now there is a big question about the superstar's ability to complete his 50-date concert series at London's O2 Arena this summer. The website quotes a source close to the Jackson family as saying that the Thriller star "gets sleepy, tired" and now weighs a mere 135 pounds. Accompanying the piece is a recent picture of Jackson in which he does look especially fragile and thin.

Stephen Hawking is in hospital

Stephen Hawking, the British theoretical physicist and best-selling author, is under observation in a U.K. hospital where he was taken yesterday after becoming “very ill” with a chest infection.

The professor, 67, who suffers from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and has used an electric wheelchair for most of his adult life, is “comfortable,” in a Cambridge hospital, the University of Cambridge said in an e-mailed statement.

Hannah Montana: Cyrus's real-life dad

Hannah's "real" off-stage self, Miley Stewart, is played by Miley Cyrus, and Stewart's dad is played by Cyrus's real-life dad, country star Billy Ray Cyrus. There's an unconvincing premise that Miley Stewart's high-school friends never see the resemblance between her and Hannah.

For little girls, however, none of that matters. They get to see Hannah/Miley sing, shop, do slapstick gags, ride a horse, reconnect with her grandmother, save her home town from a developer and flirt with Travis, a local boy she knew when she was little. He lassos a runaway horse for her and has a great grin. (There's also a tabloid reporter intent upon exposing Hannah's true identity.)

Lohan now ....

Lohan is resorting to common post-breakup behavior by changing her hair and getting a new tattoo. How else is she coping? According to Usmagazine.com, she's hitting the clubs -- three of them in one night, to be exact.

It my be mentioned that, Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson … two broke up April 3, and since then, Ronson has changed her locks, her mom and sister have inquired about a restraining order against Lohan and LiLo has poured her heart out to Us Magazine.


LiLo started Thursday night at Chateau Marmont, where she was barred from a Ronson family party last week. From there, she headed to Teddy's and finally to Bar Deluxe, a favorite Ronson hangout.

No word on whether the rehabbed star was seen drinking or engaging in any of her other past activities.

Nick Adenhart's death

The team postponed Thursday night's series finale against Oakland to mourn Adenhart, who was killed along with two other passengers in a car crash early Thursday in neighboring Fullerton.
The car they were riding in was broadsided in an intersection by a minivan that apparently ran a red light, police said.

The shock of Nick Adenhart's death early Thursday in a car wreck caused by a suspected drunk driver was beginning to sink in for family, teammates and fans of the Los Angeles Angels rookie. Adenhart's death came hours after his best showing yet in the major leagues.


Andrew Thomas Gallo, 22, of Riverside, was driving on a suspended license because of a previous drunk driving conviction. Preliminary results indicated Gallo's blood-alcohol level was "substantially over the legal limit" of .08 percent, police Lt. Kevin Hamilton said.


Adenhart died in surgery following the accident. Henry Pearson of Manhattan Beach, a 25-year-old passenger in the car, and the driver, 20-year-old Courtney Stewart of Diamond Bar, were pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The 16-year-old actress and singer reconnected with her Southern roots for the filming of "Hannah Montana: The Movie." Traveling to Tennessee to shoot the movie, Cyrus said, helped keep her grounded.

In the film, opening in theaters Friday, Cyrus plays Miley Stewart, a typical teenage girl who lives a double life as a famous pop star named Hannah Montana. Eventually, Hannah begins taking over Miley's life, leading Miley to take a soul-searching journey back home to decide what she really wants: notoriety or normality.

Both on-screen and off, Miley said, she and her father share a close friendship, calling herself a "daddy's girl 100 percent."
Between the endless tabloid headlines and the paparazzi's persistence, keeping friends and family near at hand, Miley said, helps remind her of who she really is: "I think just have good friends, good family and a good team. That's what people miss the most, just having a good team."
Co-star Lucas Till, who plays Miley's love interest in the film, remarked on Miley's down-to-earth personality.

As a part of its global campaign in the run-up to this year's Indian Premier League (IPL), beverages player Coca Cola said on Thursday

that it will launch a communication initiative in the country featuring the company's brand ambassador and Bollywood star Aamir Khan.

The 'Coca Cola Open Happiness' campaign would involve a 360-degree communication effort, which would use the mass media and a range of other activities like on-the-ground and store activation programme, Coca Cola India said in a statement.

The TV commercial, featuring Aamir Khan, would be released in the second week of this month coinciding with the IPL tournament in South Africa.
